What do idle hunters and magic breed? More Pranks! ((Closed RP, Sam, Dean, Bobby and Cas))

As Dean neared the bar he saw Bobby and Cas walking out together, it was his lucky day. Dean grinned as the two men stepped out of the bar and pulled his wand free from his jeans "Fancy meetin' you two here." With that the hunter wiggled his eyebrows and quickly uttered the words to the first spell, aiming for Bobby first, he knew he needed to instigate the hunter mostly and hoped Cas would follow along. Of course his spell missed and in the next instant Dean turned and fired another misfired spell at Cas.

Eyes going wide, he played it off well as he looked at the two men left unaffected and then down at his wand "Crap, these things don't shoot like guns." And with that, and another set of misfired spells over his shoulders Dean Winchester took off running down the halls heading for the spot Sam had set up .

"..and he was right wasn't he? French fries are damn good. I don't know about vinegar on them though.." Bobby trailed off as he saw Dean rounding the corner. He knew the kid too damn well. The way he carried himself and that grin of his. The boy was up to something. The old hunter nudged Castiel's arm, a quiet warning as he started to walk ahead.

Bobby ducked as the first spell zipped over his head and exploded against the wall in a series of sparkles. "So that's how you wanna play it, kid?" He waited for a beat as Dean ran and muttered to Castiel, "Pop ahead of him Cas, he won't make it that far down the hall without checkin' to see if we're chasing him."

Castiel ducked the spell aimed at him easily enough despite his moderate state of inebriation, and gave Bobby an incredulous look. "You must be joking. That's how I got hit the last time." Not that he intended to let the man get away with this attempt. He dodged the second volley and took off after Dean, sober enough to remember the last lesson learned but not quite enough to work out that Dean was probably counting on him to do exactly that.

Bobby wasn't as fast as he used to be, but he still managed to keep up relatively well. He saw the markings on the wall and it wasn't until he had almost collided with Castiel that he realized what had happened. They were stupid enough to run headlong into a damned trap.

"Cas!" he bellowed, "Get outta--"

There was a blinding flash of light and a ripple of energy that knocked everyone backwards. Coughing, Bobby got to his feet and looked around. Everything seemed bigger.

"Damnit, Dean. A shrinking.." he trailed off. That voice was all kinds of wrong. Bobby looked down at his significantly younger self and swore explosively.

Castiel heard the warning shout and tried to throw himself clear, but his reflexes were a little too impaired. He got caught in the same ripple of energy and hit the floor square on his backside.

Then proceeded to skid quite a bit further than he expected, though by the time he came to a halt the physics of the situation were effectively beyond his ability to grasp.

He looked around the hallway, which seemed suddenly much bigger, saw a curly red-headed boy standing where Bobby had just been, and looked down at his own radically altered vessel with a flummoxed expression for a moment.

When he looked up again, his lower lip was thrust outward and fine, feathery eyebrows drawn together in a scowl of unparalleled ferocity. "D...Deeeen," he managed. "NO. NO, DEEEEN!" He pointed accusingly at the hunter responsible.

When the burst of energy subsided, Sam rounded the corner, yanking his brother to his feet. He clapped Dean on the shoulder, "Damn! That almost worked too well," he said with a chuckle. He had been shooting for a little older for them but it was Hogwarts. Magic always seemed to go sideways at the wrong time.

At the accusing yell of the little angel, he burst out laughing. "Dude. You're so gonna get it from short stuff there."

Filtering everything through the cognitive powers of an eighteen-month-old human male, Castiel watched, listened and arrived at one inescapable conclusion:

Sam and Dean were being mean.

He pushed himself laboriously to his feet and toddled unsteadily over to his fellow victim. "Bah-bee," he said, grabbing the older boy's sleeve firmly with his chubby fist. "'e go 'ay, Bah-bee."

So saying, he made a resentful face at the Winchesters and their hilarity, and with a soft whoosh...he and Bobby vanished.

With that soft puff, their laughter stopped. Sam stared, gaping. He turned and stared at his brother.

A toddler. A toddler with angelic powers. And they just turned him loose on the school with Bobby in tow.

"Shit. Damnit. Dean, we gotta find them. We've gotta find them right now!"

"Bobby can look after Cas, but what if he hurts someone in some kind of angelic temper tantrum? Damnit," he growled, raking his hair out of his eyes.

"Start on that end of the school," he gestured down the hall. "I'll go this way. Try calling him, maybe he'll show."

"I think we're gonna need some help."

Sam nodded sharply and ran down the hall. He took a quick detour by Gryffindor, his mind racing.

Jesus. Turning Cas loose on the school like that. Please don't let him hurt anyone.

He pounded a fist on Adam's door. "Adam! C'mon, we need your help!"

[identity profile] was-the-bait.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Adam had been stretched out on his bed, reading one of the random medical books he had found in the library and in the midst of dozing off, sleep had finally started to be less of a chore, but he was hardly getting enough to suffice and his body seemed to want to tell him that.

That was till there was a banging on his door, he sat up and swung his legs over the side of the bed.

"Jesus, keep your pants on Sam, I'm coming." He walked to the door and opened up.

"Where's the fire?"

[identity profile] hunter-returns.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Sam glanced down the hall before turning back to Adam, his expression was tight with worry. "C'mon, grab your coat. We need a hand. A hex on Bobby and Cas misfired and now there's a two year old with angelic powers zapping all over the school. We've gotta find him. Now. Before he hurts someone."

He shifted impatiently, already blaming himself for the entire disaster. He must have screwed up the spell somehow. If someone got hurt, it was on him.

It didn't take John long to get settled in at Gryffindor. Nearly twenty years of hunting had taught him to pack light and how to make himself comfortable damn near anywhere. He was stretched out on the bed, staring idly at the ceiling when the knock came.

John swung the door open. He had been hoping for a more social visit, but the tension in his son's voice and the look on his face told him something was very wrong. "Dean, what happened? Is it Sammy?"

[identity profile] was-the-bait.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Adam nearly laughed, till the part about angel zapping powers stuck in, then he got the same look as Sam. Adam knew very well what an angel was capable of, stage five stomach cancer was no joke and despite not having much experience with children he knew that they didn't have the best control over their emotions.

"One second" Adam turned back in to the room and grabbed his coat, on second thought he snagged the wand he had yet learn how to use, better safe than sorry. He slipped out the door and looked at Sam

"Okay, so where should we start? You know him better than I do, where would he go?"

[identity profile] sgt-hunter.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
He blinked and waited for the information to sink in.

"Castiel is a toddler, with Bobby and they're loose somewhere in the school." John closed the door behind him. "All right, let's go. We'll find them, Dean. And when this is over, we're going to have a little talk about the prank war with your brother."

"The angel is getting them around? Ok. Where would he go? Where would he feel safe or happy?"

[identity profile] hunter-returns.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Sam took a deep breath. Getting frantic about finding Cas and Bobby wasn't going to get them anywhere. "Dean's going that way," he waved in the direction he had come. "I think he's getting Dad to help in the search. Which means we've got to start in the opposite direction."

"His room is over in Ravenclaw, we can start there."

[identity profile] was-the-bait.livejournal.com 2011-01-12 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Adam nodded, it was strange in some ways to be working with Sam and by association their Dad and Dean, but he liked Cas and he didn't want to see the angel end up in trouble or one of the people he had met here that he liked end up like he had.

"I know a short cut to a different set of stairs, comes out near the bar, we can get to his room from there." Adam turned and headed towards the stair case he had found, it was usually there about this time of day so he was counting on that, and got lucky when he saw it up ahead.

"Yeah. Yeah, I figured as much. I saw he had my watch, the one I left Sammy."

He was trying to chart out the school in his head when Dean's idea brought him to a sudden halt. "You think he'd hear me?" The elder Winchester shrugged and called out in a surprsingly gentle voice, one Dean hadn't heard in years. "Castiel? Castiel you can come out, it's okay. Come on, we'll find a way to fix this."

Nothing.

"Hm. Come on, we'll have to keep trying."
