[Closed RP] Second verse, same as the first

Wishbone shrugged on his jacket and stuck his wand inside. He had decided that today was a day to try catnip and play with the cats. The sun was bright, the grass was green. It was an ideal day.

A had already said that he could, so Wishbone went outside to meet them. He was a bit surprised to see that Mello had joined them though, but he didn't think much of it.

Hi A! Hi Mello! Hi Einstein! Hi Schrodinger!

Schrodinger trotted up to meet Wishbone, and Einstein greeted him with a mew.

"They are glad to see you," A said, grinning. "I am sure they will be surprised."

"Heya, Wishbone. It's been a while. How've you been?" I ask conversationally. I'd apologize for laughing but I wouldn't mean it and I'll probably end up laughing today.

I've been good! I talked with people, and I found a new book to read to the cats! he said as he shrugged out of the jacket and grabbed his wand.

A sat down so he would be closer to Wishbone's eye level.

"What book? I am sure they will appreciate it."

It's called The Tempest! Except it's a really long story, so I'd probably have to read it over a long period of time. But it's a good story! It's by Shakespeare! He readied his wand.

"I've heard of Shakespeare." A patted Wishbone's head. "You are going to give them a good education."

Yep! And he likes it. Okay, here I go! and he turned himself into a cat.

Schrodinger was almost nose-to-nose with Wishbone when he changed, and jumped back in alarm. She sniffed warily and gave a low warning mrowl, ears flattening.

Don't worry, Schrodinger! I'm still Wishbone! I just turned into a cat like you, see? Wishbone walked a little bit closer.

Poor Schro....I couldn't help but laugh, which just made her that much more irritated. "Wishbone, watch out, she has claws," I manage to say. "I wouldn't get too close until she's calmer."

Still letting out a low, warning sound, Schrodinger paced around Wishbone cautiously. She recognized the voice, and the smell was almost familiar, but her eyes were telling her this was a strange cat.

It's okay, Schro...I'm not going to attack...I just want to play with you as a cat.

"Maybe if you make a display of submission, she'll calm down," I suggest. I'm sure this will go over well.

Schrodinger was gradually calming, but still appeared suspicious. A stranger cat was not to be taken lightly.

Wishbone thought a minute, then rolled over so his belly was showing, just like Einstein did when they first met.

Schro looked confused, but not as angry. She stepped closer, obviously sniffing. "Poor cat," I said, muffling my laughter to not startle her.

As she approached Wishbone, Schrodinger raised a paw hesitantly, batting lightly at his ears. His response would be telling.

Wishbone's leg kicked out a bit, but it was the one on the other side. And he laughed.

Yeah, my ears aren't as fun to play with as a cat.

"Same dog on the inside, Schro, just different clothes," I say to cat. She sniffs at Wishbone's ear, still looking rather confused. After a moment, she licks his ear.

Although she still seems a bit confused, Schrodinger seemed to accept Wishbone's transformation, and gave an inquisitive mew.

"Good girl," A crooned, reaching to scratch behind her ears.

Wishbone laughed again, stood up, and began nuzzling against Schrodinger. Yep! It's me!

Now that Schro had given her approval to Wishbone, Ein came over and inspected him. After a cursory sniff and a headbutt, he wandered toward the greenhouse. "Well, he knows what he wants."

"Einstein likes to roll around in it and be lazy," A explained, heading to open the greenhouse door. "Not as playful as it makes Schrodinger."

Bunch of stoners. God, I could use some relaxation, but I'd need to be with Near. I don't think A's quite ready to see me high on people nip.

Maybe I should grow some.

Or ask Kurama about it.

I follow them into the greenhouse. Ein is already sitting by the catnip, looking at it expectantly. Schro inspects Wishbone again and goes over to attack Ein.

I stay near the door, not wanting to get in their way.
