Open RP with Draco

Somehow, the novelty of magic that was so fresh and new in Draco's mind when he had started his career at Hogwarts had slowly been sucked out of him. He, as a true pure-blood citizen, was raised around magic and had seen some pretty impressive results from the wand.

With so many muggles running around though, it just wasn't quite as fun.

Draco stood, looking out of a large window in a northern corridor. His wand was in his hand and he twirled it among his finger. His left hand was busy propping his head up as he looked out the window, so his right occupied itself twirling the wand.

"I don't really have a choice about it," L admits, with a faintly indulgent smile.

"I merely awoke, covered in butter. The career I was taken away from was much more rewarding than what was promised me here, though I have made the best of it." Namely, Matt.

"You're a little overdramatic," L thumbs his bottom lip.

"Besides, it's important for me to get back to my time and country, I'm an important detective, and there is work still to be done. The best way for that to happen seems to be to remain here."

"Important detective," L replies, in his usual monotone.

"As I said. I appreciate that the academic standards have been compromised."

"I've read the history of the school. Although the book was no doubt heavily biased in providing information, I imagine some of the facts must have been true."

L shrugs.

"And it didn't sound that bad."

"Although class structure is inherent in all forms of society, rigorous application and inflexibility thereof is unhealthy."

He shrugs.

"Sociologically speak, although that isn't precisely my field."

"And I'm not going to waste my time convincing someone blinded by their own bigotry."

L shrugs again, pressing his fingers to his bottom lip.

"Jonathan Swift, aside from suggesting that people consume infants, said 'there are none so blind as though who will not see.'"
