Owl to Laurie and closed RP

Dear teddy,

I mentioned I'd found out what a dildo is. I have one currently in my possession if you want to see it, although it isn't nearly as impressive as I thought it would be.

Love,
Jo

Jo-

Sounds like a lark! Where do you want to meet?

Laurie plopped down on a couch in the Gryffindor Common Room, absently thumbing through a book on magic he was half- heartedly studying. Though he was ashamed to admit it he was secretly very glad that Jo had returned. Laurie was still excessively shy when first meeting people and had so far stuck tenaciously to solitude and his piano.

"Ow," Laurie said, feigning an injury in order to be a good sport. "I'm finding Hogwarts alright, though you've grown much stronger since you left. Is it the fashion to be breaking your friends' collarbones these days? What's in the box?" He grinned. "I'm glad to see you Jo."

Laurie looked at the dildo curiously, made a mental connection he was sure Mrs. March would not approve of, and turned red. "Um. It's... an interesting shape there Jo."

"No!" Laurie said quickly. "No! You, um, you haven't embarassed me at all Jo. I um, I... was looking at the package and I remembered that I, um... I haven't studied... engineering and science and those sorts of dull as tombs things in months." He paused, knowing that the lie was quite terrible. "Um, you- you didn't send one of those to anyone of your sisters back home, did you?"

"Good!' Laurie said, looking relieved. "It's nothing. It's a bad idea. It's a stupid one, honestly."
