Open RP: Ray and Fraser fall into the common room.

So, Ray had been having a good day, and a bad day. First, he'd gotten locked into a room with his partner by a girl who totally had it comin', now.

That's bad.

Then, he figured out he got locked in because someone'd figured out they both had the hotness goin' on for one another. Huh, crazy, right? A bent Mountie? Who woulda thought? Heh. Now all he had goin' on was a Ralph Wiggum voice going 'I bent my Mountie'.

heheh.

Oh, right. That's good.

Then, just as they were about to go for the good stuff, they got out of the secret passage they were stuck in and tumbled, ass-first, into the Gryffindor Common Room, both of them in rather obviously... rumpled clothing.

Uh. That's bad.

Of course, they were closer to a bed now. That's good...

((ETA: The last thread goes NSFW.))

"Mmmhmm," he agreed absently, stretching out against him with another blissed-out sigh. He slipped his arm around behind them and started toying with Ray's hair. "I have seventy-five left," he reminded him, grinning lazily. "I think that should give us ample time." Oh, he would start to get restless if he didn't work, but right now? The idea of spending seventy-five days in a bedroom with Ray sounded like the best one he'd ever had. Realistically, he thought maybe two. That was a good start.

Honestly, if Fraser had no idea it was such a big deal. If he found out, he would probably just be bewildered by it -- he'd probably even wave it off as an American thing. Americans were very odd about certain things, like tasting things and crossdressing.

He chuckled at the mention of the list. "I know. I believe you." Actually, Fraser was kind of impressed by his imagination. Most of his fantasies had been fairly standard; being with Ray at all was, until a few hours ago, so unrealistic that he'd hardly dared to imagine anything wilder. He tightened his grip on Ray's hand briefly, then let go to brush his fingers over Ray's cheek, down his jaw, revelling in the feel of the stubble beneath his fingertips.

Smiling a bit, he tipped his chin up to kiss him softly. "I think we should try every one," he said, quite seriously. Whatever Ray wanted. Anything Ray wanted, as long as this wasn't all a dream. Part of him was still having a hard time believing that.

Fraser raised his eyebrows, a little startled. "Right now?" he repeated. Because, well, maybe it was just that it had been a little while for him, but he for one was still tired out from the last one. Although those wandering hands were a compelling argument. And if Ray was up for it, he wasn't going to be the one to back down... That train of thought had the potential to end badly -- if they kept trying to one-up each other, they were both going to be a mess tomorrow. But that was tomorrow.

He shifted and leaned in for another kiss, his hands doing a little wandering of their own. "Okay. Tell me."

Blink. "Ah." Well, that really wasn't what he'd been expecting. And, despite his desire to make Ray happy, not something he really wanted to indulge him in. He settled back comfortably and wrapped his arms around him, barely managing to keep from rolling his eyes. "I'd really rather not, Ray."

He'd offer something else, but one: he actually was fairly tired, and two: God knew, Ray would probably go and get a beer and try to make him drink it or something. He would rather just stay here like this. Forever, for preference.

[identity profile] themountie.livejournal.com 2007-02-20 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
If Fraser knew that, he might honestly be tempted. Sadly, he didn't, and he wasn't. "Ray." He growled and nipped at Ray's thumb, hoping that was rough enough for the detective. What on earth was wrong, he wondered, with preferring not to swear? Really, he just didn't get it.

(Fraser didn't know it yet but he was, secretly, a bit of a hypocrite. He had forgotten how much he'd enjoyed it when Ray had started using words like 'felonious' and 'absolve' (http://realduesouth.net/Transcripts/162DMDTR.htm); if Ray started talking like that again, well. With his newfound awareness of his feelings, and Ray's feelings, and the mindblowing things they could apparently do to each other, he would not be responsible for his actions.)

Oh, for goodness' sake. Fraser reddened slightly. "Ray," he muttered, scruffing chidingly at the blonde spikes he'd been toying with. "I appreciate the offer, but no. And even if I did want to, your car is still in Chicago," he pointed out, "and as we have no immediate plans to leave Scotland, that would be extremely delayed gratification for me."

Chicago... for the first time, the thought of returning to the States was really kind of troubling. He frowned and pushed it aside, tightening his arm around Ray's waist.

[identity profile] themountie.livejournal.com 2007-02-20 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"Of a sort," Fraser agreed, though now he was a bit preoccupied. It took him a moment for Ray's words to fully register, but then he blinked and pulled back a bit to look at Ray with a curious, crooked grin. "Ah, so this is all to... to 'loosen me up,' then, is it? I see." There was loose for you, Ray Kowalski -- he was making jokes. And not, he decided firmly, thinking about Chicago, which was thousands of miles and a long time away.

Anti-Larry? Fraser's mind whirred blankly, then clicked. "I think you mean ancillary, Ray," he tried, assuming it wasn't just another slang thing he was missing out on. He tried and failed to stifle a grin -- he didn't want to hurt his feelings, but that was really kind of charming in an odd, Ray-ish sort of way. "And, yes. Only for a second." God forbid he ruin his reputation, after all.

Fraser was unbelievably comfortable, more comfortable than he'd been in years, lying here like this, and when Ray kissed him like that he thought his heart might just burst out of his chest. He sighed blissfully and closed his eyes and leaned in to kiss him back, just in time for Ray to try and get up. Wait, what? Fraser opened his eyes again and frowned, his arms tightening around him. "What?"

[identity profile] themountie.livejournal.com 2007-02-21 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, no. Ray was not doing any of the following any time soon: getting dressed, smoking up his room, or going off to smoke somewhere else. Ray was not getting out of the bed for any non-vital reason, in fact, not if Fraser had anything to say about it.

"No, I don't think so," he said placidly. "I would really prefer you not to smoke, Ray. And... well, the only reason you would need clean clothes at the present juncture is to go outside, and while I can't actively stop you from doing so..." He rubbed his back lightly, leaning in for another kiss. "I would rather you not."

[identity profile] themountie.livejournal.com 2007-02-21 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
That made him smirk. "Ray, I've known you for two years." If he thought he hadn't seen him cranky by now, he was a little unhinged.

"Besides which, I'm sure I can do something to alleviate any symptoms you might have." As if offering an example, he dipped his head and kissed the hollow of his throat, then shifted to rest his head comfortably on his shoulder. "I'm not overly fond of the taste of cigarettes."

[identity profile] themountie.livejournal.com 2007-02-21 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Well. Hmmm. A bit more hand-wandering seemed to be in order. Also, more kissing, perhaps. "Very well, Ray. I accept full responsibility."

Ha. He'd won that one. And if Ray really did become unbearable, well, now Fraser had all sorts of new methods of distraction at his disposal.

[identity profile] themountie.livejournal.com 2007-02-21 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
If he were feeling argumentative, he'd point out that getting Ray healthy would take a lot more than weaning him off coffee and alcohol, but Fraser was in a... generous mood. "Mmmhmm," he agreed vaguely, gently pushing Ray onto his back. "As you wish, Ray."

Ray wanted cigarettes; he wanted to keep Ray in bed as long as possible. He had a goal in mind, and Fraser with a goal could be terribly stubborn. Wandering hands and all.
