"Thank you all for coming," she said, and signaled one of the house-elves, who began to pour glasses of wine and water for each person. She raised her own glass. "I really do mean that. You've made my first days at Hogwarts less frightening than they might otherwise have been. So I'd like to toast the students of Hogwarts, present company especially, and the Sorting Hat, who has admitted me into such company."
