Hey Peoples,

So, I was making some cookies, and I ran into a bit of a problem. Who knew that 4 dozen really meant 46? I kinda accidentally made a few dozen dozen cookies, and I need some help eating them. You all will help a sister out, right?

Love ya!

Roxy

PS. Ignore the burning smell. It will go away.

(If one were to shift the cookies around, a person would notice a pile of black, charred hunks suitable only for use as hockey pucks under the first layer of edible cookies.)

((These are magical cookies with random, non-fatal results. Effects and duration are up to the muns involved.))

Oh gods. When were people in this school going to learn to not eat food left lying around?!

But at least that answered the question of what they were doing here...

Having no idea what house they were talking about, Ryuuji tried to steer them away from that topic, still kneeling on the floor and staying calm, "Okay, well, how about you discuss this later? You just had cookies, so maybe you should have some milk now? Milk and cookies go well together. And then you could go outside and play something, if you want to."

Al really wanted to know why they burned the house down. But milk! He wanted milk, too! Still glaring at Ed, he blurted out, "But why, brother? Why burn it down?" Then, looking very pitifully at the man who was standing over him, "Milk, please?"

"I already told you why!," he cried in frustration. "And I hate milk," he added in his most petulant voice.

"Okay, well, what do you like to drink? We can go to the kitchen and then you," Ryuuji smiled at Al, "Can have some milk. And your brother can pick out something for himself."

The House Elves were always glad to please, after all. Standing up, he dusted off his knees, the leather of the trousers miraculously unscuffed and tilted his head down at the two kids, "So, shall we?"

Al's attention span being that of a three year old, he'd completely forgotten that they'd been discussing their burned down house. He got up off the floor and looked at Ed to see if it was all right to leave with this man. At least he seemed pretty nice. And he was still pretty hungry. He'd only had a bite of one cookie, after all. He figured this man must work in the kitchen since he was taking them there for drinks.

"You have good cookies in the kitchen?"

[identity profile] fm-elric.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
He frowned at Al and the other man. "No more cookies!" Ed obviously didn't trust Ryuuji one bit. "And we aren't going anywhere, Al," he said as he plopped down on the ground defiantly.

Al nodded and plopped down next to Ed. "Cake, then, please? Bring milk here?"

"Well, if you want to have a picnic here, then sure, why not?" Ryuuji shrugged and went along with it, glancing around to see if he could find a House Elf anywhere. Spotting one, he gestured for it to come closer, then told it, "We'd like milk, cake and..."

He slanted a curious look at the two little boys, "Anything else you want from the kitchen?"

Ed blinked. "Ummmm.... Um." He was at a loss. He could have anything? Well, alright then! "Candy!," he exclaimed.

[identity profile] fullsize-al.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
That sounded like a wonderful idea to Al. He joined in, excitedly.

"Candy! Candy!"

[identity profile] dice-addict.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
"And candy. And a chocolate milk for me, please." Ryuuji added as he confirmed, the House Elf scurrying away to fill that order.

Sitting down again, he asked the other two curiously, "What are your names? I already gave you mine."

[identity profile] fm-elric.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
Ed wondered if he should tell Ryuuji his name or not. Considering he was getting candy out of the deal, he decided that he would. "I'm Edward."

[identity profile] fullsize-al.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
If it was okay for Ed to tell, it was okay for Al. He pointed at himself. "I'm Alphonse! Can I have my cake and candy now?"

[identity profile] dice-addict.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
"Nice to meet you both, then." Ryuuji smiled warmly at them both, utterly at ease, then twisted around at the sound of the polite cough. Briefly, the House Elf informed Ryuuji that he was needed in the kitchen to check the cake ingredients -- the gamer's paranoia, already high after the incident where he and Nny had spiked the water supply was now to the level of not eating he hadn't checked the ingredients of -- and to please come immediately.

Getting up again, thinking this was a pretty weird form of exercise, Ryuuji told the two kids, "And the Elves want me to go check the cake, so I'll just do that. If you guys just want to stay here, the food'll be sent up to you, okay? Have fun and play safe!"

[identity profile] fm-elric.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
Ed turned to Al. "Now what? We can't stay like this forever." He only had hazy memories of being nineteen, but something told him that he wouldn't want to go through the mess of getting there again.

[identity profile] fullsize-al.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, yeah. We were big. Maybe the cake and milk will make us big again!" Al hoped the food would come quickly. The cookies were even tempting him again. He stood up and looked around, but everyone in the room was so much taller. Stompint his foot in frustration, he called out. "Can't see any food, brother!"

[identity profile] fm-elric.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 08:08 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not drinking any stupid milk! It'll probably wear off anyway and then we'll be big again." Ed stood and looked around. "Dunno when the elf-thing will get here."
