[Closed, Apos, Ofdensen] Fanboy (thankfully not Freakazoid's would-be sidekick)

So.

Dethklok music? Check.

Steady supply of food? Check.

One hermaphrodite with crossed wires? Check.

Ofdensen had kept Apos locked away for a while. Technically, he was doing the same thing Kurama had done, brainwashed Apos for his own purposes.

Well, he never said he was above mind rape.

Anyway. Time to see if it stuck.

Ofdensen adjusted his tie and opened the door.

"Apos?"

The reality show begins!

((OOC Note: The reality show will work in a similar manner to other modplots. The Hat will make posts in the community when there is an event for all the reality show contestants, and will tag these posts with the event tag "Hat Shore". If reality show contestants want to do their own threads outside of the Hat's challenges and so forth, whether closed to two players or open, they can make separate posts to the main community, and also tag them "Hat Shore". In other words, you don't need to wait for a Hat post to RP in the reality show house.

All reality show events will be broadcast in the Great Hall; non-participating characters can comment as the audience, or RP watching it together. Keep in mind that the contestants on the reality show can't hear the audience. There's likely a tape delay as well.

We're dividing the starter into a couple of parts: the setting comes first, and then the first activity for the contestants. Here's the setting!))

As with many things in life, there were rewards and incentives for the participants of Hogwarts Reality TV. Incentives were provided in the forms of house elves in tea towels with monogrammed bow ties to politely escort the contestants to the limousines provided on the lawn to ferry them to the shooting location. The definition of politeness was rather stretched, with the aid of decorative and fully-functional cattle prods left over from the El Mundo Del Sombrero effort. (The elves had been specifically chosen for bitterness, and were not pushovers about using the prods if the contestant tried to back out.)

But, after the gauntlet of house elves and cattleprods, was the luxury of the limos. The finest upholstery, the best champagne and sparkling water, and all the opportunity to drink it in the three-minute drive to the former location of El Mundo Del Sombrero — now, redecorated and redubbed Hat Shore.

Reality show event 1: Crafts and tacos!

ExpandThe contestants are led from the limos to the house ... )

The pairs were:

  • Bad Boyz 4 Lyfe: Bucky Katt and Kuronue, room 2.

  • SnarkBros: Vislor Turlough and Dean Winchester, room 7.

  • Pretty in Pink: Cathy Dollanganger and the Shoggies, room 1.

  • Team Beefcake: Beowulf Ecgtheowsson and Captain Jack Harkness, room 3.

  • Bat and Bait: The Scout and Adam Milligan, room 4.

  • Sparkle and Kimono: George St. Bartleigh and Sanada Yukimura, room 6.

  • Team Estrogen: Glorificus and Maddie Magellan, room 5.

Once the entire group of fourteen was assembled, the house-elves herded them into the Hat Shore house's dining room, where each was required to sit in a suspensor chair. A map of Arrakis hanging on the dining-room wall revealed its true purpose: it wasn't a map, it was a television screen! The desert geography dissolved into the familiar interior of Hogwarts' own Great Hall, with Ariane Emory somberly gazing into the camera, microphone in hand.

ExpandElric the Adjudicator lays down the laws )

Before anyone could pose a question about the rules, the Adjudicator raised a hand to ward off such foolish attempts. "Questions will not be taken at this time. Rules are not up for debate. Contestants, to your rooms! Craft supplies await you!"

And indeed they did. Tons of craft supplies had been brought to each room by the house elves while the contestants were listening to Elric. Many colors of felt, glitter and glue, ample markers and butcher paper, a bulletin board for each room, and -- the pièce de resistance -- each room had its very own Bedazzler.
