Office Hours--Divinations

Kusuriyuri decided it had been long enough since he had opened his office. There were other factors influencing this decision, but a good part of it was he felt he was neglecting his duty.

Outside his office door and several other places around the school, signs appeared declaring the Divinations office open for any students who wished to talk, to consult, or who just happened to wander by.

Kusuriyuri knelt behind his table, shincha brewing as it was the season for it, waiting for any who would come in, wondering if a particular one would come in.

OOC: Yeah, this is a 'trap' for a particular character, but is also regular office hours. And, if you're particularly interested in a type of divination or anything else you'd like to see Kusu teach, feel free to mention it :D

Kusuriyuri scratched Wishbone as requested. "Have you met anyone new?" he asked, changing the subject.

I met Drosselmeyer! He told me a very good story. Wishbone's ears drooped. It was a very sad story, but sometimes stories just don't have happy endings.

"That is so," Kusuriyuri replied. "So, you have found one with similar tastes in stories. That is good."

Yeah. He's a good storyteller. Wishbone frowned doggy-style. But the bat-person is a bad person!

"The bat-person?" Kusuriyuri asked. "Kuronue? Why does Wishbone think him a bad person?" It was a combination of curiosity and amusement that caused Kusuriyuri to ask.

He says and does things I don't like! Wishbone said, hiding his face.

Kusuriyuri caressed Wishbone's head. "He is a demon. Not all demons are used to being around those who are not and many demons will act in their own interest."

Even when they do...naughty things?

Granted, there was now that thing that Kojiro did, but Wishbone doesn't know that.

Kusuriyuri considered a moment. "Not all see those things as naughty," he said softly. "They should be considerate of those around them, but the actions are not evil."

I know. Wishbone had read about them, after all. I just don't like seeing it.

"Understandable," Kusuriyuri said, caressing Wishbone's back. "This one apologizes that you had to see such," he said.

Oh, that feels good right there, Wishbone said, closing his eyes while Kusuriyuri petted him.

"Of course," Kusuriyuri murmured, amused at how easy it was to turn Wishbone's mind onto something more pleasant. "Wishbone mentioned A's garden. Does he enjoy digging in it?" he asked, his voice mock-severe.

Sometimes, but A gets cross if I dig something up I'm not supposed to. So I usually only do it if he needs help digging. After all, he's an expert.

Kusuriyuri chuckled. "Very good. And of the cats?" he asked.

Lots of naps! Sometimes as a dog, and sometimes as a cat! And we share treats together too!

"It is good to have friends," Kusuriyuri replied. It was something he was learning there, despite his long life. "This one is pleased for Wishbone," he added.

I like napping with non-cats too! And even if they don't do naps, it's nice to nap knowing they're nearby!

"Wishbone is welcome here, if he desires, provided this one is not occupied in anything that would disturb him," Kusuriyuri said, referring to when Kurama visited him, though it could be taken as something noisome.

Wishbone lied on the ground, resting his head on Kusuriyuri's knee. I promise not to disturb you.

Kusuriyuri pet Wishbone's head. "Very well," he said, amusement obvious in his voice for the dog. "This one will permit you to remain."

Hooray, Wishbone said groggily as he fell asleep.
