Office Hours--Divinations

Kusuriyuri decided it had been long enough since he had opened his office. There were other factors influencing this decision, but a good part of it was he felt he was neglecting his duty.

Outside his office door and several other places around the school, signs appeared declaring the Divinations office open for any students who wished to talk, to consult, or who just happened to wander by.

Kusuriyuri knelt behind his table, shincha brewing as it was the season for it, waiting for any who would come in, wondering if a particular one would come in.

OOC: Yeah, this is a 'trap' for a particular character, but is also regular office hours. And, if you're particularly interested in a type of divination or anything else you'd like to see Kusu teach, feel free to mention it :D

Wishbone was alarmed. He had been doing his usual sniffing around Hogwarts when he came across the scent of blood.

Blood and Kurama.

Kusuriyuri? Wishbone asked, poking his head in. Is Kurama okay? I can smell blood on the same trail as him.

Kusuriyuri looked over at Wishbone. "He is doing well," he replied, beckoning the little dog in. "He brought one who was injured here," he added, explaining the scent.

Oh. Is that person okay? Wishbone, innocent dog he was, just thought that someone had an accident like breaking his nose or something.

"They will recover, this one believes," Kusuriyuri said. "Have you been well, Wishbone?" he asked, turning a smile on the dog.

Yeah! I've been reading and doing my prefect duties and finding all the bones I buried!

Good thing the Quidditch field doesn't get used much anymore.

Kusuriyuri held his hand out for Wishbone. "That does sound quite fulfilling," he said solemnly.

It is! Ah, to be a dog. Other than helping injured people, how have you been?

"This one has been well," Kusuriyuri replied, scratching Wishbone's back. "He is curious if there is anything his students would desire to know."

Well, I don't have anything specific I want to know. I just like visiting my friends!

"Visiting is very nice," Kusuriyuri replied solemnly. "This one is glad to see Wishbone when he visits."

Yeah! And it's becoming warm out, so A's garden will get nice and pretty and I can take naps there!

"Wishbone finds much to do," Kusuriyuri mused, scratching the dog's head. "That is good."

He considered a moment. "Can you tell, from smell, if someone is a male or female?" he asked.

"There is one who will smell of both, and quite possibly of blood. Avoid that one," Kusuriyuri said. "One who calls himself Apos."

Wishbone looked alarmed, or at least as alarmed as a dog could look. He's a bad person like the invisible guy and the L-lookalike?

"One who wishes to cause harm, yes. But, you may avoid him and there is no need for concern," Kusuriyuri replied, continuing to caress Wishbone's head.

Right! I can outrun him! Well, maybe, do you know how fast dogs run?

"Wishbone is small, as well. He will be able to hide in places that that one cannot reach." At least until Apos learned enough magic.

That was another problem, one to be addressed with the others, not with Wishbone, though.

"Find one of us, Kurama, this one, Yukimura, Kuronue, Near or Mello, if needed," Kusuriyuri suggested, naming those he could think of that would do what they could to defend the dog for one reason or the other.

Okay! Wishbone said resolutely, standing at attention. And I am good at hiding!

"That is good," Kusuriyuri replied, his tone indicating approval of the dog's attitude. "It would be better to avoid that one, and we will hope that one has no interest in animals."

Right! And Wishbone got closer, to seal the deal with scratches.

Kusuriyuri scratched Wishbone as requested. "Have you met anyone new?" he asked, changing the subject.

I met Drosselmeyer! He told me a very good story. Wishbone's ears drooped. It was a very sad story, but sometimes stories just don't have happy endings.

"That is so," Kusuriyuri replied. "So, you have found one with similar tastes in stories. That is good."

Yeah. He's a good storyteller. Wishbone frowned doggy-style. But the bat-person is a bad person!
