He wasn't endowed with the ability to speak humanoid languages (currently, anyway — this was Hogwarts), but he could understand one's tone of voice very well. He offered an inquisitive chirrup in response, and took a few more slow steps forward, stretching his neck until the tip of his snout was nearly touching one of the ribbons hanging from Kusuriyuri's strange attire. Rather like a cat himself, the raptor was intent on pulling the irresistible ribbon if he wasn't prevented from doing so.
