Sirius left the loo in a bit of a daze. His face was slack and expressionless, but the hollow depth of his eyes, as staring and vacant as they had been on his Azkaban mug shot, betrayed his emotions. It wasn't something he was particularly aware of, but even if he had been, he wouldn't have been arsed to do something about it. He was far too broken.
In that stupor, he walked back to the Great Hall, his mind mostly blank, but not pleasantly so. Harry was still there, and Sirius wordlessly lowered himself into the seat across from him. He wanted to protect Harry from the details and degree of what had happened, and he considered it a win that he was maintaining his composure in front of him. Anything beyond that was simply too difficult right then.
