Flying was becoming a familiar, comforting thing.

Actually trying to practice, though... that was less comfortable. But there was definitely something satisfying, Nny reflected, about hitting bludgers through the air, looping around as they swung back towards them, and smacking them away again.

"Well, she's River's friend. So if there were any Assassins after her, chances are they're rotting meat now."

"Ah. I really didn't think so either." Teatime shook his head. "There are so many Hufflepuffs that I don't know very much about. I should spend more time with my housemates, I suppose."

"Maybe we should make a list of what we know from the comments, and see which of your housemates that would rule out? Then you could focus on the others."

"I've been trying to think through who I could, but I really can't say. My friends might not be my friends after all."

"Who are your friends, then, in Hufflepuff?"

"Oh...Lady Door is one. And Baldrick, and perhaps Sadako. Perhaps. And Mister Sark does seem nice."

"I know I've met Sark... I don't know the others, though. Isn't Sadako the one that's always at least a little damp?"

"Yes, that would be her. I don't think it's Mister Sark, anyways. That would be counter-intuitive."

"It would be beyond the bounds of normal human hypocrisy, wouldn't it?"

"Oh, far. And...well, would Mister Sark be afraid of me?"

He looked at Teatime, and grinned. "Would be, or should be? I don't think he is, though."

"Well, the person did say they were afraid of me..."

"Probably not Sark or Sadako, then."

"Baldrick was such a great help to me. Perhaps he is afraid of me, but even if so, I don't think he would say the wretched, awful things that were said to me."

Nny raised an eyebrow, expression darkening. "I think you'd better show me."

"Do you think it'd be such a good idea?"

"What do you mean? Do you think I wouldn't be able to help?"

"Well, I don't know. After all, you can hardly get access to Hufflepuff House unless someone lets you in...how would you help?"

"I meant, I could help you narrow down who it might be. But if it came down to that, we can go into any of the dorms, can't we? Being caretakers and all."
