Flying was becoming a familiar, comforting thing.

Actually trying to practice, though... that was less comfortable. But there was definitely something satisfying, Nny reflected, about hitting bludgers through the air, looping around as they swung back towards them, and smacking them away again.

Interesting.

The Bludger really did seem to swing more readily towards Teatime, as if it knew that Nny was the one focusing on it.

Or maybe it liked a challenge as well, and Teatime's Snitch-chasing acrobatics were moe exciting than Nny's defensive patterns.

But whatever else the Bludger was, it wasn't very good at evading his blows. Although sometimes the directions it went off in weren't what he expected...

A quick dodge to the side, to avoid the Bludger and keep from getting smashed into; a small dive, up again, accelerate....

Teatime was now flying back, still trying not to get hit by the Bludger, Snitch firmly gripped in his hand.

Impressive. "I think next time, I should be hitting it at you."

"And trying to hurt me?"

"Are you suggesting that my faith in your many talents is unwarranted?"

"No, of course not. I'm quite confident in them myself."

"I'll remember that." He smirked, flying toward the Bludger with his bat raised. "Ready?"

"One moment," Teatime said, releasing the Snitch. "Now I'm ready~."

A great, sweeping swing bringing the bat against the Bludger... so teasingly close to a human head... and it shot off, rocketing past Teatime and looping back towards him.

Moving out of the path once and then again, Teatime shot off like a bat out of hell after the Snitch, giggling as he found himself going in loops and having to duck the returning Bludger. It's great fun.

"You could almost make me wish I'd taken a different position," Nny laughed, swooping in to hit the Bludger on a new trajectory.

"What would you rather be--" he asked, rolling over in midair, "a Chaser?"

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe if we had races, or obstacles courses... not so much of a team thing."

"But it's so much fun with a team..."

"Do you really think that? Do you like the people on your team?"

"Well, perhaps not the people."

"Isn't that the whole point of being on a team?"

"I thought I liked them, but apparently one of them doesn't like me."

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, an anonymous Hufflepuff said awful things to me. On the secrets board, you know."

"Really? How do you know..." He blinked, remembering the way the board had been set up. "Do you know it was a Hufflepuff? Did they know it was you they were talking to?"

"They said I was their housemate. And yes, I wasn't anonymous in my response."

"Well, at least you were straightforward, then. Any idea who it was?"

"No clear ideas. Someone with grounds not to like Assassins..."

"Assassins in particular, or just killing people in general?" Nny tried to think through the people he knew of in Hufflepuff.
