So, Two Mounties and a Cop Walk into a Bar... ((Closed RP))

For the first time in a long while, Ray was in a freaking fantastic mood. Not just a good mood - a great mood. A freaking fantastic, awesomely great mood. A 'not even short people with cattle prods can bring me down' mood. And it pretty much had everything to do with his partner's return from the Bermuda Triangle. He and Fraser were back to being a duet, and now they were gonna fix this marraige debacle once and for all.

Ray was walking practically shoulder-to-shoulder with histhe Mountie, leaning in so as to fill Fraser in on all the important details of the case.

"I'm pretty sure there's a double in the bedroom." Ray hadn't been in the bedroom, for obvious reasons, but the Hat was such a horndog that the beds had to be sizable. "I've been sleeping on the couch, but we can just kick Turnbull out there, and you and Dief and take the bed. I'll get a cot. And I know we've got stuff for sandwiches in the fridge. You hungry? We could probably get you some fries, too."

Fraser was feeling nearly as good as Ray, and for much the same reasons; his mood was dampened only by his need to get to work on the case Ray had told him about, i.e., Ray's forced marriage to Turnbull and the mysterious Hogwarts tent village. He couldn't let that stay as it was. It wouldn't be... just.

But that concern was relatively minor. Not that the problem wasn't serious (he took it very seriously), but he was sure that they were going to get to the bottom of it and get Ray free. He believed it the same way he believed in the RCMP motto -- 'maintain the right,' no matter what nonsense his father made up about 'getting your man' -- or in his own sense of taste: with utter, unquestioning conviction. So that was really going to be fine, and in the meantime, they were working together again, and that was very good.

He walked alongside Ray, rucksack over his shoulder, Dief on his other side, leaning in close so as to listen to the very important details of the case. Instead, he got... a rather unusual invitation! Huh.

"No, I'm fine, I ate on the plane..." He gave Ray a curious look. It seemed a little odd -- nice, but odd -- for Ray to be offering him a bed like this. He'd spent the last year sleeping in his office in Chicago and although Ray had gone apartment hunting (http://trinityslash.com/trans/ep148.html) with him, which had been very nice of him, he hadn't once made an offer like this. Fraser hadn't expected him to, of course, as it would be far too much of an imposition, but the fact remained that this was a little strange coming now. Did Ray think he was homeless? "Thank you kindly, Ray, but I do have a room in the castle and it's really more than enough for Dief and me." If anything, it was much too big for the two of them. The rooms at Hogwarts were enormous, and Fraser had gotten used to his little office.
